We did it! NEK PrideFest 2025 happened on Sunday, June 22, and for the third year in a row, hundreds of people came out to celebrate with us.
Pride events are important. We see each other and feel like, even with our historically marginalized identities, we do, in fact, have a community up here. We get support from so many allies. And we further our mission of queer equity, liberation and joy.
Planning a large outdoor event is kind of like trying to help hundreds of people unicycle across the same tightrope. You can plan all you want, but there comes a moment when it’s out of your hands. Was PrideFest 2025 perfect? Of course not. Are we getting better at this every year? Absolutely!
We would like to thank all of our organizers, volunteers, families, marchers, performers, photographers, vendors, and sponsors. It wouldn’t have happened without you.
